Steering Angle Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Install the steering angle sensor to the spiral cable sub-assembly.
    NOTE:
    • Engage the claws securely.
    • Do not damage the claws.

  2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. POINT FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt)  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic)  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. CENTER SPIRAL CABLE  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL NO.2 COVER LOWER  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL NO.3 COVER LOWER  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the negative battery cable.
