Skid Control Ecu: Installation

  1. INSTALL SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSEMBLY 
  2. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU 
    1. Install the ECU with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the ECU and skid control buzzer connectors.
  3. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  6. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  9. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  10. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION 
    1. Perform the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION  ).
  11. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL 
    1. Check the VSC sensor signal (see TEST MODE PROCEDURE  ).
