Inspection Procedure

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

Disconnect the E11 pattern select switch connector.

Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
E11-3 (E) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: Go to Next Step

INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH

Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
3 (E) - 7 (P)	Pattern select switch (PWR)	Below 1 Ω
3 (E) - 7 (P)	Pattern select switch (NORM)	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH

OK: Go to Next Step

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - PATTERN SELECT SWITCH)

Measure the resistance of the passenger side junction block ECU.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
P4-18 (PWR) - Body ground	Pattern select switch (PWR)	Below 1 Ω
P4-18 (PWR) - Body ground	Pattern select switch (NORM)	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
