Floor Shift Assembly: Inspection

INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

Measure the resistance between each terminal of the shift lock control unit assembly when the shift lever is moved to each position.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Except S	3 (IG) - 7 (S)	10 kΩ or higher
S	3 (IG) - 7 (S)	Below 1 Ω
Press continuously "+" (Up Shift)	2 (SFTU) - 5 (E)	Below 1 Ω
Neutral Position (S Position)	2 (SFTU) - 5 (E) 1 (SFTD) - 5 (E)	10 kΩ or higher
Press continuously "-" (Down Shift)	1 (SFTD) - 5 (E)	Below 1 Ω

INSPECT NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in table below.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Switch Condition	Tester Connection	Specified Condition
PWR ON	7 (P) - 3 (E)	Below 1 Ω
PWR OFF	7 (P) - 3 (E)	10 kΩ or higher
Release Pattern Select Switch (SNOW)	1 (2ND) - 3 (E)	10 kΩ or higher
Press Continuously Pattern Select Switch (SNOW)	1 (2ND) - 3 (E)	Below 1 Ω

Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 2 (ILL+) and the battery's negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (ILL-). Then check the illumination of the switch.
OK: The illumination turns on.
