On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT STOP LIGHT CONTROL RELAY (BRK-LP) 
    1. Remove the stop light control BRK-LP relay.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 4 Battery voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 4 Battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the value is not as specified, replace the stop light control BRK-LP relay

  2. INSPECT ABS MOTOR RELAY (ABS MOTOR1 (FAIL SAFE)) 
    1. Remove the ABS MOTOR1 (fail safe) relay.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the value is not as specified, replace the ABS MOTOR1 (fail safe) relay.

  3. INSPECT ABS MOTOR RELAY (ABS MOTOR3) 
    1. Remove the ABS MOTOR3 relay

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the value is not as specified, replace the ABS MOTOR3 relay.

  4. INSPECT ABS SOLENOID RELAY (ABS SOL) 
    1. Remove the ABS SOL relay.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the value is not as specified, replace the ABS SOL relay.
