DTC C1201/51 Engine Control System Malfunction: Description

When the skid control ECU receives an engine control system malfunction signal, this DTC is set the master caution indicator light is illuminated and the warning message is displayed on the multi-information display. (The VSC system is operating normally.)

While the engine control system is malfunctioning, as a fail safe function, TRAC and VSC controls are prohibited If a normal signal is received from the engine control system, the warning light will be turned off, the fail safe function will be cancelled and this DTC will be cleared
