Throttle Body: Removal
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See COOLANT )
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Loosen the 2 hose clamps and separate the 2 ventilation hoses
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and separate the wire harness clamp.
- Loosen the hose clamp and separate the air cleaner hose.
- Unlock the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body connector.
- Loosen the hose clamp and separate the No. 5 water by-pass hose
- Loosen the hose clamp and separate the No. 4 water by-pass hose.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts
- Using a "TORX" socket E6, remove the 2 stud bolts and throttle body assembly.NOTE: Do not damage the water hoses when removing the throttle body assembly.
- Remove the 2 water by-pass hoses
