Knock Sensor: Removal

DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
1. Discharge fuel system pressure (See FUEL SYSTEM ).
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the intake air surge tank assembly (See REMOVAL ).
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 4 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE CASE SEPARATOR
1. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector

2. Remove the 4 bolts and case separator.

REMOVE KNOCK CONTROL SENIOR
1. Disconnect the 4 knock control sensor connectors.
2. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 knock control sensors.
