Automatic Transmission Assembly: Removal

REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
(See REMOVAL ).
REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 bolts and No 1 exhaust pipe support bracket
DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the bracket.

2. Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the oil cooler tube sub-assembly
REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SETTING BOLT
1. Turn the crankshaft to gain access to each bolt
2. While holding the crankshaft pulley nut with a wrench, remove the 6 bolts

REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER
1. Remove the 4 nuts and rear engine mounting member.

REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear engine mounting insulator.

REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHAFT LEVER RH
1. Remove the nut and transmission control shaft lever with gear shifting rod

SEPARATE BREATHER PLUG HOSE
1. Separate the breather plug hose from the transmission breather assembly.

DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
1. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.
2. Remove the nut and disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

3. Disconnect the transmission wire connector
  HINT:
  
  Detach the claw, press down the lever, and then disconnect the transmission wire connector.
4. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the wire harness clamp.

REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 10 bolts.
2. Separate and remove the automatic transmission.

REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
1. Put matchmarks on the transmission case and torque converter clutch.
2. Remove the torque converter clutch from the automatic transmission.

REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BREATHER TUBE
1. Remove the bolt and automatic transmission breather tube.
2. Disconnect the breather plug hose from the automatic transmission breather tube.
3. Remove the O-ring from the automatic transmission breather tube

REMOVE TRANSMISSION BREATHER ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the ground wire.
2. Separate the 2 clamps and the wire harness from the transmission breather assembly.
3. Remove the 2 bolts and the transmission breather assembly
