Shift Paddle Switch: Installation

  1. INSTALL SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH 
    1. Install the 2 shift paddle switches and 2 brackets with the 4 screws.

      Torque: 1.7 N*m (17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Make sure that the brackets are securely installed.

    2. Connect the 2 switch wire connectors to the shift paddle switches

    3. Install the connector to the steering wheel assembly.
    4. Install the clamp to the steering wheel assembly.

  2. TURN FRONT WHEELS TO FACE STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  10. INSPECT STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (See  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ).
