Automatic Transaxle: TCM: Installation

INSTALL TCM
1. Install the TCM to the ECM box.
  NOTE: Install the TCM in the ECM box with the name plate facing the inside of the vehicle.
2. Install the 2 nuts.
  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)
  NOTE:
  - Make sure that the stud bolts are securely installed into the front and rear bolt holes.

  - Insert the stud bolt in the vehicle rear side to the TCM first.
3. Connect the 8 connectors
  NOTE: Be sure to securely connect the connector.
4. Connect the connector holder
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See INSTALLATION )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
CHECK AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM PRECAUTION
1. After replacing the TCM, certain procedures are necessary (see INITIALIZATION )
