Transmission Control Switch: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )

- REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

- REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH
- Remove the transmission control switch connector from the floor shift assembly.
- Remove the shift lever support and lock pin from the floor shift assembly.
- Remove the shift lever guide housing from the floor shift assembly.NOTE: First remove the shift lever nut and lock pin, then disengage the 2 claws.
- Remove the transmission control switch from the shift lever guide housing.
