Oil Level Sensor: Removal
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR LOWER (See REMOVAL )
- DRAIN ENGINE OIL (See REPLACEMENT )
- DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 clamps to disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.
- REMOVE CRANK POSITION SENSOR BRACKET
- Using a clip remover, disconnect the harness clamp.
- Remove the bolt and crank position sensor bracket.
- REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR
- Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Rotate the engine oil level sensor 180° and remove it.
- Cut off the gasket as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the gasket from the oil level sensor.
HINT:
After cutting away the parts of the gasket shown in the illustration, remove only the outer part of the gasket.
