Tilt And Telescopic Manual Switch: Installation

  1. INSTALL TILT AND TELESCOPIC MANUAL SWITCH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the tilt and telescopic manual switch.
    2. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    1. Attach the clip to install the steering column cover upper.
    2. Attach the 4 clips to install the steering column cover upper onto the instrument panel cluster finish panel.

    3. Install the steering column lower cover and attach the 2 claws.
    4. Install the screw.

      Torque: 2.0 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf)

    5. Install the 2 screws.

      Torque: 2.0 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      Turn the steering wheel to the right and left as necessary to install the 2 screws.

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter (see CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS  ).

  4. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
