How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding

  3. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output
    2. Clear the DTC
    3. Recheck for DTCs Based on the DTCs output in the first step, try to force output of the same DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.

    Result:

    B2311 is output B

    BCAN communication system DTC output reoccur C
    LIN communication system DTC output reoccur D

    B: GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  (see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    C: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM )

    D: GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  4. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the problem symptoms table (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).

    Result:

    Fault not listed in problem symptoms table A
    Fault listed in problem symptoms table B

    B:  GO TO STEP  6

    A: Go to Next Step 

  5. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. Operation Check (see OPERATION CHECK ).
    2. Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU ).
    3. Data List / Active Test (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
  6. REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    Result:

    Result Proceed to
    Door window regulator and power window regulator motor assembly is replaced or removed/installed A
    Door window regulator and power window regulator motor assembly is not replaced or removed/installed B

    B:  GO TO STEP  8

    A: Go to Next Step 

  7. RESET POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR 
    1. If the power window master switch AUTO light is blinking, reset the power window regulator motor (see INITIALIZATION ).
  8. CONFIRMATION TEST
