DTC Check/Clear

1. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

   SST 09843-18040 

2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Read the DTCs from the ABS warning light or multi-information display on the combination meter.

   HINT:

   • If no DTC is output, inspect the TC and CG terminal circuit, and the ABS warning light circuit.
     TROUBLE AREA REFERENCE
     
     

     Trouble Area	See Procedure
     TC and CG terminal circuit	TC AND CG TERMINAL CIRCUIT
     ABS warning light circuit	ABS WARNING LIGHT REMAINS ON  or ABS WARNING LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON

   • If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time, the lowest numbered DTC is output first.
4. As examples, the illustration below shows the blinking patterns of the normal system code and DTC 11 and 21.

5. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ) for DTC information.
6. After completing the check, turn the engine switch off and remove SST from the DLC3.

1. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

3. Clear the DTCs stored in the ECU by depressing the brake pedal 8 times or more within 5 seconds.
4. Check that "DIAG VSC OK" is displayed on the multi-information display and check that the ABS warning light outputs a normal system code.
5. Remove SST from the terminals of the DLC3.

HINT:

Clearing the DTCs cannot be performed by disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal or removing the ECU-IG fuse.

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/ TRAC / Trouble Codes.
5. Read the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream screen.

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/ TRAC / Trouble Codes.
5. Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream screen.
