Charging System: Generator: Removal
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL FRONT RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT OIL COOLER PIPE ASSEMBLY (See INSPECTION )
- REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the generator connector.
- Remove the terminal cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.
- Remove the bolt and wire harness bracket from the generator.
- Remove the 3 bolts, nut and generator.
