Camshaft Timing Control Motor: Removal: Removal

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 10
  4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE  See step  8
  5. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL WITH EDU MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Disconnect the 2 camshaft timing control motor connectors.
    2. Remove the bolt and engine wire bracket.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts and camshaft timing control motor.
      NOTE:

      Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing control motor (connecting surface with timing chain cover).

    4. Remove the O-ring from the timing chain cover.
  6. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL WITH EDU MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Disconnect the 2 camshaft timing control motor connectors and wire harness clamp.
    2. Remove the 3 bolts and camshaft timing control motor.
      NOTE:

      Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing control motor (connecting surface with timing chain cover).

    3. Remove the O-ring from the timing chain cover.
