HINT: 

The following items can be customized.

NOTE:
  • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
  • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
  • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
  1. CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH TECHSTREAM 
    1. POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM

    3. POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
      DOOR LOCK

      Display Default Contents Setting
      Unlock Key Twice ON Function that unlocks only the driver side door when the driver side door key cylinder is turned to unlock once, and unlock all doors when it is turned to unlock twice. For the OFF setting, turning it once unlocks all doors. ON/OFF
      Auto Lock OFF Function that locks all doors when the vehicle speed reaches a certain level. ON/OFF
      Auto Lock/Shift ON Function that locks all doors when the shift lever is moved from P to any position other than P while the engine running and all doors are closed. ON/OFF
      Auto Unlock/Shift ON Function that unlocks all doors when the shift lever is moved to P from any position other than P while the engine switch is on (IG). ON/OFF
      All Unlock/Open-Close OFF Function that unlocks the other doors when the driver side door is opened within 10 seconds after the engine switch is turned off. ON/OFF
    4. WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
      WIRELESS DOOR LOCK

      Display Default Contents Setting
      Hazard Answer Back ON When the lock switch on the transmitter is pressed, this function illuminates the hazard warning lights once. When the unlock switch is pressed, the hazard warning lights illuminate twice. ON/OFF
      Wireless Control ON Function that turns the wireless door lock function on or off. ON/OFF
      Open Door Warning ON If a door is not completely closed and the transmitter lock switch is pressed, this function makes the buzzer sound for 10 seconds. ON/OFF
      Panic Alarm Function ON Function to operate the theft deterrent system by continuously pressing the panic switch on transmitter for 1 second or more. ON/OFF
      Unlock 2 Operation ON Function that unlocks the driver side door when the unlock switch on the transmitter is pressed once, and unlocks all doors when the switch is pressed twice. If the setting is OFF, pressing the unlock switch once makes all the doors unlock. ON / OFF
      Auto Lock Time 60 s Function to change the time until relocking after unlocking with the wireless door lock function. 30 s/60 s/120 s
      Wireless Auto Lock ON Function to control the automatic relocking of doors after unlocking with the wireless door lock function. ON/OFF
      Wireless Buzzer Volume Level 7 This function changes the wireless buzzer volume. Level 0/Level 1/Level 2/Level 3/Level 4/Level 5/Level 6/Level 7
      PSD&PBD OPERATION (W/ POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM)

      PBD One Motion ON Function to turn on/off the power back door wireless one motion open operation. ON/OFF
      Wireless PBD SW Operation 0.8 s Function to change the way the power back door is operated by the back door switch. 1 time / 2 times / 0.8 s / OFF
    5. SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Entry Function)
      SMART KEY / ACCESS

      Park Wait Time*1 2.5 s Function that sets the waiting time to permit unlocking the door after the door is locked with the entry lock function. 0.5 s / 1.5 s / 2.5 s / 5 s
      Ignition Area*2 ALL Function to choose the available area for the key to start the engine and cancel the steering lock. FRONT/ALL*3
      Back Door Opening Operation*4 LONG The back door opening operation. LONG/TWICE/OFF
      WARNING

      Display Default Contents Setting
      Key Low Battery Warning*5 ON Function that warns the driver that the key battery power is low. ON/OFF

      HINT: 

      *1: Waiting time to permit unlocking door after locking.

      *2: Entry ignition available area.

      *3: "FRONT" means front, and "ALL" means front floor, rear floor and luggage compartment.

      *4: Back door open mode when vehicle is locked.

      *5: Warn when key battery becomes weak.

    6. ENTRY UNLOCK MODE SWITCHING FUNCTION
      1. To use the entry unlock mode switching function, make sure the engine switch is off and simultaneously press and hold the lock switch on the key and another key switch for 5 seconds.
        • When the switches are pressed and held for 5 seconds, the entry door unlock mode changes in the following order: driver door unlock mode, all door unlock mode.
        NOTE:

        After pressing and holding the switches for 5 seconds, wait 5 seconds before performing the same procedure again.

        • Driver door unlock mode (default):

          When the driver door touch sensor is touched, only the driver door unlocks. When another touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock.

        • All door unlock mode:

          When a touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock.

      2. The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) receives this signal from the door control receiver and changes the smart access system with push-button start to the entry unlock mode.
      3. The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) sounds the wireless door lock buzzer and combination meter buzzer to inform the user that the mode has been switched.

        HINT: 

        The function only changes the entry unlock mode of the smart access system with push-button start. It does not switch the unlocking of the wireless door lock control.

        • Driver door unlock mode:

    7. KEY CANCEL

      The key cancel operation disables the following functions:

      • Entry Unlock/Lock
      • Key Lock-in Prevention
      • Memory Call
      • Entry Back Door Open
      • Warning
      • Entry Ignition
      1. The operation procedures are as follows:

        Precondition:

        Engine switch off, driver side door closed and unlocked.

        1. Unlock the driver side door once with the unlock switch of the key.
        2. Open the driver door within 5 seconds.
        3. Unlock the driver side door twice with the unlock switch of the key within 5 seconds.
        4. Perform close → open twice for the driver door within 30 seconds.

          (Driver door: Open condition → Close → Open → Close → Open)

        5. Unlock the driver side door twice with the unlock switch of the key within 5 seconds.
        6. Perform close → open once for the driver door within 30 seconds.

          (Driver door: Open condition → Close → Open)

        7. Close the driver door within 5 seconds.

          When key cancel is activated, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice.

          To return to the original condition, perform the procedures again. When the original condition is returned, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds once.

    8. SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Start Function)

    9. THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM
      SECURITY

      Passive Mode
      (Security System)
      OFF Passive arming mode is a function that switches theft deterrent system from the arming preparation state to the armed state 30 seconds after the key is not inside vehicle and the driver side door is closed.
      In passive arming mode, the theft deterrent system will judge that a theft is taking place and switch to the alarm sounding state if one of the following operations is not performed within 14 seconds (see entry delay below) after the door is opened:
      • Unlock any door by a key or wireless operation
      • Turn the engine switch on (IG)
      ON/OFF
      Warning by Horn ON Function that allows vehicle horns and security horn to be used as warning device. ON/OFF
      Entry Delay Time 14 s Function that changes entry delay time (time before warning starts) for passive arming mode. 0 s / 14 s / 30 s
    10. METER AND GAUGE SYSTEM

    11. SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM
      SEAT BELT WARNING

      Driver Side Seatbelt Warning Buzzer ON If the driver side seat belt is unfastened and the vehicle is driven at approximately 20 km/h (12.5 mph) or more, this system sounds the seat belt warning buzzer. ON/OFF
      Front Passenger Side Seatbelt Warning Buzzer ON If the front passenger side seat belt is unfastened and the vehicle is driven at approximately 20 km/h (12.5 mph) or more, this system sounds the seat belt warning buzzer. ON/OFF
    12. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
      AIR CONDITIONER

      Display Default Contents Setting
      Set Temperature Shift Normal Function to set the temperature shift. +2 C/+1 C/Normal/-1 C/-2 C
      Evaporator Control Automatic Function to set the evaporator control to the automatic position (Automatic) to save power, or to the coldest position (Manual) to dehumidify the air and to prevent the windows from fogging up. Manual/Automatic
      Compressor/Air Inlet DEF operation Link Function to automatically turn the A/C on when the front defroster button is pressed. Normal/Link
      Compressor Mode Automatic Function to turn the A/C on automatically by pressing the AUTO button when the blower is on and the A/C is off. Manual/Automatic
      Air Inlet Mode Automatic Function to automatically change to recirculation mode when the A/C is turned on. Manual/Automatic
      Foot/DEF Auto Mode ON Function to turn on the airflow from the front and rear footwell register ducts and center and side defrosters automatically when auto mode is on. ON/OFF
      Foot/DEF Automatic Blow Up Function ON Function to change the blower level automatically when the defroster is on. ON/OFF
      Ambient Temperature Shift Normal Function to control the shifted ambient temperature in relation to the displayed ambient temperature. +3 C/+2 C/+1 C/Normal/-1 C/-2 C/-3 C
      Button Press Buzzer ON Function to sound a buzzer when a button is pressed. ON/OFF
      Emission Gas Sensor Shift Normal Function to change the sensitivity of the exhaust gas sensor. Much More/More/Little More/Normal/Little Less/Less/Much Less
    13. POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM
      POWER WINDOW

      Door Key P/W Up OFF Function that raises all the power windows when, with the engine switch off, a key is used to hold the driver door key cylinder to the lock position for more than 2.3 sec. ON/OFF
      Door Key P/W Down OFF Function that lowers all the power windows when, with the engine switch off, a key is used to hold driver door key cylinder to the unlock position for more than 2.3 sec. ON/OFF
      P/W Down W/ Transmit OFF Function that lowers all the power windows when, with the engine switch off, the unlock switch on the transmitter is pressed and held for more than 3.0 sec. ON/OFF
      P/W Up W/ Smart OFF Function that raises all the power windows when, with the engine switch off, the entry lock switch on the driver side door outside handle is pressed and held for more than 3.0 sec. ON/OFF
    14. SLIDING ROOF SYSTEM
      SLIDE ROOF

      Display Default Contents Setting
      Door Key Related Open ON The function to manually open the sliding roof linked with the power window if holding the driver side door key for 3 seconds or more to unlock position when the engine switch is off. ON/OFF
      Door Key Related Close ON The function to manually close the sliding roof linked with the power window if holding the driver side door key for 3 seconds or more to lock position when the engine switch is off. ON/OFF
      Wireless Key Related Open OFF The function to manually open the sliding roof linked with the power window if pressing the transmitter unlock switch for 3 seconds or more when the engine switch is off. ON/OFF
      Door Handle Lock Button ON The function to manually close the sliding roof linked with the power window if pushing the door lock switch for 3 seconds or more when the engine switch is off and the key is outside vehicle. ON/OFF
      Door Key Related Operation Slide The function to select tilt up or slide open of manual sliding roof operation linked with the power window activated by holding the driver side door key for 3 seconds or more to unlock position when the engine switch is off. Tilt/Slide
      Wireless Key Related Operation Slide The function to select tilt up or slide open of manual sliding roof operation linked with the power window activated by pressing on the transmitter unlock switch for 3 seconds or more when the engine switch is off. Tilt/Slide
    15. POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM
      PSD & PBD OPERATION

    16. LIGHTING SYSTEM
      ILLUMINATED ENTRY

      I/L when ACC OFF ON Function to illuminate the interior light when the engine switch is turned from on (IG) or on (ACC) to off. ON/OFF
      Lighting Time 15 s Function to change the lighting time after closing the door.
      (It will quickly fade out in the case of turning the engine switch on (IG)).

      Light Control ON Function to illuminate the door inside handle illumination light when the engine switch is on (IG) and the shift lever is not in P. ON/OFF
      I/L ON W/Door Key Unlock ON Function to illuminate the interior light, etc. when the door is unlocked with a transmitter, door key or door lock control switch. ON/OFF
      Mirr-Foot-Lgt Approached ON Function to illuminate the door mirror foot light when the transmitter enters the key ID detection area. ON/OFF
      Mirr-Foot-Lgt Unlocked ON Function to illuminate the door mirror foot light when unlocking the doors with the transmitter. ON/OFF
      Mirr-Foot-Lgt w/Master SW ON Function to illuminate the door mirror foot light when unlocking the doors with the transmitter. ON/OFF
      Mirror Foot Light Time 15 s Door mirror foot light illumination duration. 0 s / 7.5 s / 15 s / 30 s
      Room Light when Aprchd ON Dome light illumination (when key enters key ID detection area). ON/OFF
      Inside Foot Light ON Interior foot light illumination. ON/OFF
      Center Console Spot Light ON Center console spot light. ON/OFF
      LIGHT CONTROL

      Light Auto OFF Delay 30 s Function to illuminate the headlight for a certain period of time after closing all the doors with the engine switch turned from on (IG) to off under the condition that the headlights illuminate with the light control switch at head or AUTO. OFF / 30 s / 60 s / 90 s

      HINT: 

      The sensitivity adjustment may be difficult to confirm. Check by driving the vehicle of the customer.

    17. DOOR LINKED MAP LIGHT AND PERSONAL LIGHT ILLUMINATION CONTROL

      Mode 1: When door is opened, map light of opened door illuminates, or personal light illuminates

      Mode 2: When door is opened, all map lights and personal lights illuminate

      Mode 3: Map lights and personal lights are not linked to doors

      1. To change modes, press the map light assembly DOOR and on switch simultaneously, and then turn the engine switch from off to on (IG). Each engine switch off to on (IG) operation will change the mode (Mode 1 → Mode 2 → Mode 3 → Mode 1).

        HINT: 

        After changing modes, the map light responds by blinking as follows: Mode 1: once; Mode 2: twice; Mode 3: three times.
