Throttle Body: Removal: Removal

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 1
  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  3. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 20
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

    2. Separate the water hose from the hose clamp.

    3. Release the 2 clamps.
    4. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap.
  5. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Separate the water hose from the hose clamp.

    2. Separate the wire harness clamp from the inlet air cleaner assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 clips and inlet air cleaner assembly.
  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE 
    1. Remove the air cleaner filter element.
    2. Separate the hose from the hose clamp.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner case.
  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Loosen the hose clamp and separate the ventilation hose.

    2. Unlock the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose assembly.
  8. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle body connector and 2 water by-pass hoses.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly.
    3. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
