Customize Parameters

HINT: 

The following items can be customized.

NOTE:
  • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
  • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
  • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
  2. Turn the power switch ON(IG).
  3. Turn the Techstream ON.
  4. Enter the following menus: Select: Customize Setting
  5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
  1. SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Starting) 
    SMART KEY / ACCESS

    Air Inlet Mode Automatic In case of turning the A/C ON when you desire to make the compartment cool down quickly, this is the function to change the mode automatically to RECIRCULATION mode Manual / Automatic

    Rear A/P HI Set ON Function to permit the Rear A/P HI Set when AUTO MODE is ON OFF / ON
    Emission Gas Sensor Shift Normal Function to change the sensitivity of the exhaust gas sensor Much More / More / Little More / Normal / Little Less / Less / Much Less
    Add Foot Air in FACE Mode ON When the FACE mode is selected, an additional amount of air blow to the foot area. Selecting OFF will cancel this additional air flow OFF / ON
    ECO MODE Cancel ON Function to cancel the ECO mode drive when item is ON OFF / ON
  4. THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM 
    SECURITY

    Display Default Contents Setting
    Warning by Horn ON Function that allows vehicle horns and theft deterrent horn to be used as warning device. ON / OFF
    Passive Mode
    (Security System)
    OFF Passive arming mode is a function that switches theft deterrent system from arming preparation state to armed state 30 seconds after key is not inside vehicle and driver side door is closed.
    In passive arming mode, theft deterrent system will judge that a theft is taking place and switch to alarm sounding state if one of the following operations are not performed within 14 seconds (see entry delay below) after door is opened:
    • Unlock any door by key or wireless operation
    • Turn power switch ON (IG)
    ON / OFF
    Entry Delay Time 14s Function that changes entry delay time (time before warning starts) for PASSIVE ARMING MODE 0 s / 14 s / 30 s
  5. LIGHTING SYSTEM 
    ILLUMINATED ENTRY

    Light Control ON Function to light up door inside handle light when the power switch is ON (IG) and shift position is not P ON / OFF
    LIGHT CONTROL

    Display Default Contents Setting
    Disp Ex ON Sen NORMAL Changes brightness when lowering lights such as combination meter indicator light, A/C indicator light, and clock light. Refer to the illustration*1. LIGHT2 / LIGHT1 / NORMAL / DARK1 / DARK2
    Disp Ex OFF Sen NORMAL Changes brightness when canceling lowering lights such as combination meter indicator light, A/C indicator light, and clock light. Refer to the illustration*2. LIGHT2 / LIGHT1 / NORMAL / DARK1 / DARK2
    Light Auto OFF Delay 30s Function to keep on lighting the headlight for a certain period of time after closing all the doors with the power switch turned from ON (IG) to OFF under the condition that the light control switch is at HEAD or AUTO with the headlight ON OFF / 30s / 60s / 90s
    Sensitivity Normal Function to adjust the sensitivity of lighting illumination*3. Light2 / Light1 / Normal / Dark1 / Dark2

    HINT: 

    The sensitivity adjustment may be difficult to confirm. Check by driving the customer's vehicle.

    Door linked map light and personal light illumination control

    Mode 1: When door is opened, map light of opened door illuminates, or personal light illuminates

    Mode 2: When door is opened, all map lights and personal lights illuminate

    Mode 3: Map lights and personal lights are not linked to doors

    1. To change modes, press the map light assembly DOOR and ON switch simultaneously, and then turn the power switch from OFF to ON (IG). Each power switch OFF to ON (IG) operation will change the mode (Mode 1→Mode 2→Mode 3→Mode 1).

      HINT: 

      After changing modes, the map light responds by blinking as follows: Mode 1: once; Mode 2: twice; Mode 3: three times.

  6. POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    DOOR LOCK

    Display Default Contents Setting
    Auto Unlock/Shift ON Function that unlocks all doors when lever is shifted to P from any position other than P while the power switch is ON (IG) ON/OFF
    All Unlock/Open-Close OFF Function that unlocks all other doors when opening driver door within 10 seconds after turning the power switch is ON (IG) ON/OFF
    Unlock Key Twice ON Function that unlocks only driver side door when driver side door key cylinder is turned to unlock once, and unlock all doors when it is turned to unlock twice. For OFF setting, turning it once unlocks all doors. ON/OFF
    Auto Lock/Shift ON*1
    OFF*2
    With engine running and all doors closed, function that locks all doors when lever is shifted to P from any position other than P ON/OFF

  7. WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    WIRELESS DOOR LOCK

    Display Default Contents Setting
    Hazard Answer Back ON When LOCK switch on transmitter is pressed, this function illuminates hazard warning lights once. When UNLOCK switch is pressed, hazard warning lights illuminate twice ON/OFF
    Wireless Control ON Function that turns wireless door lock function ON or OFF ON/OFF
    Open Door Warning ON If door is not completely closed and transmitter LOCK switch is pressed, this function makes buzzer sound for 10 seconds ON/OFF
    Trunk Lid Operation 0.8 s This function changes transmitter operation method for opening luggage compartment door 1 tim ON/2 tim ON/0.8 s/Prohibit
    Panic Alarm Function ON Function to operate theft deterrent system by continuously pressing panic switch on transmitter for 2.5 seconds ON/OFF
    Unlock 2 Operation ON Function that unlocks driver side door when unlock switch on transmitter is pressed once, and unlocks all doors when pressed twice. If setting is OFF, pressing unlock switch once makes all doors unlock. ON/OFF
    Auto Lock Time 60 s Function to change time until relocking after unlocking with wireless door lock function 30 s/60 s/120 s
    Wireless Auto Lock ON This function controls unlocking doors to automatic relocking function ON/OFF
  8. SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Door Lock) 
    SMART KEY / ACCESS

    ENTRY UNLOCK MODE SWITCHING FUNCTION

    1. Check that the power source mode is OFF and the LED on the key is not blinking. Press the LOCK switch and one of the other switches on the key at the same time for approximately 5 seconds while the key is in the actuation area.
      • When the switches are pressed and held for 5 seconds, the entry door unlock mode changes in the following order: driver door unlock mode, one door unlock mode, doors on one side unlock mode, all door unlock mode.
      NOTE:

      After pressing and holding the switches for 5 seconds, wait 5 seconds before performing the same procedure again.

      • One door unlock mode:

        When a touch sensor is touched, the touch sensor's door unlocks. For example, if the driver door's touch sensor is touched, the driver door unlocks.

      • All door unlock mode:

        When a touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock.

      • Driver door unlock mode (default):

        When the driver door's touch sensor is touched, only the driver door unlocks. When another touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock.

      • Doors on one side unlock mode:

        When a touch sensor is touched, the doors on the side of the touch sensor unlock. For example, when the driver door's touch sensor is touched, the driver door and driver side rear door unlock.

    2. The certification ECU receives this signal from the entry door control receiver and changes the smart access system with push-button start to the entry unlock mode.
    3. The certification ECU sounds the wireless door lock buzzer and combination meter buzzer to inform the user that the mode has been switched.

      HINT: 

      The function only changes the entry unlock mode of the smart access system with push-button start. It does not switch the unlocking of the wireless door lock control.

      • One door mode:

      • All door unlock mode:

    4. KEY CANCEL

      The key cancel operation disables the following functions:

      • Entry Ignition
      • Entry Unlock / Lock
      • Entry Luggage Compartment Open
      • Key Lock-in Prevention
      • Warning
      • Memory Call
      1. The operation procedures are as follows:

        Precondition:

        Power switch OFF, driver side door closed and unlocked.

        1. Unlock the driver side door once with the UNLOCK switch of the key.
        2. Open the driver door within 5 seconds.
        3. Unlock the driver side door twice with the UNLOCK switch of the key within 5 seconds.
        4. Perform close → open twice for the driver door within 30 seconds.

          (Driver door: Open condition → Close → Open → Close → Open)

        5. Unlock the driver side door twice with the UNLOCK switch of the key within 5 seconds.
        6. Perform close → open once for the driver door within 30 seconds.

          (Driver door: Open condition → Close → Open)

        7. Close the driver door within 5 seconds.

          When key cancel is activated, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice.

          To return to the original condition, perform the procedures again. When the original condition is returned, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds once.

  9. METER / GAUGE SYSTEM

  12. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM

    Wireless Key Related Open ON The function to manually open the sliding roof linked with the power windows if pressing the transmitter UNLOCK switch for 3.0 seconds or more when the power switch is OFF. ON / OFF
    Door Handle Lock Button ON The function to manually close the sliding roof linked with the power windows by pushing the door lock switch for 3.0 seconds or more when the power switch is OFF and key is outside vehicle. ON / OFF
    Door Key Related Operation Slide The function to select tilt up or slide open for the manual sliding roof operation linked with the power windows by holding the driver side door key for 3.0 seconds or more in the unlock position when the power switch is OFF. Tilt / Slide
    Wireless Key Related Operation Slide The function to select tilt up or slide open for the manual sliding roof operation linked with the power windows by pressing the transmitter UNLOCK switch for 3.0 seconds or more when the power switch is OFF. Tilt / Slide
