Removal [08/2014 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (See article. Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2014 - ] ).
- DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE REAR WHEEL
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- LOOSEN PARKING BRAKE CABLE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- DISCONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
- SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
- REMOVE REAR DISC
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20
- DISCONNECT REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE
- REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY
- Remove the rear axle hub and bearing assembly (See article. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15
).
HINT:
- The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor malfunctions, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
- If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
- Remove the rear axle hub and bearing assembly (See article. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15
).
