Headlight Cleaner Motor and Relay Circuit [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the A64 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
2. Disconnect the G99 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
3. Disconnect the A20 washer wiring assembly connector.
4. Disconnect the G118 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.
5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A64-18 (FRWA) - G99-7 (WF)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A64-18 (FRWA) or G99-7 (WF) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Remove the headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

2. Inspect the headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [08/2015 - ]

   Result

REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

1. Remove the headlight cleaner control relay.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

2. Inspect the headlight cleaner control relay.

   Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2015 - ]

REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

1. Disconnect the A31 headlight cleaner motor and pup assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the A32 headlight cleaner control relay connector.
3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A31-2 - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V
   A32-3 (IG) - Body ground	Engine switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V
   	Engine switch off	Below 1 V

4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A31-1 - A32-6 (PB)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A31-1 or A32-6 (PB) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to

2. Disconnect the A64 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   A32-2 (H) - A64-7 (HLC)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A32-4 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A32-2 (H) or A64-7 (HLC) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
