Installation [01/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2018 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - ]

    1. Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank assembly with the protrusion of the gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protrusion
      *b Groove
    2. Connect the water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    3. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    4. Install the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    5. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
  2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY BRACKET 
    NOTE:

    Do not apply oil to the bolts as listed below:

    Oil Application Prohibited Bolt
    Bolt for Intake Air Surge Tank Assembly and Cylinder head cover sub-assembly
    1. Install the throttle body bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

  3. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose assembly with the nut.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    2. Attach the 4 clamps to connect the motor cable and generator cable.
  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    1. Connect the air cleaner with air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor assembly.

      *a Protrusion
      *b Groove
      NOTE:

      Fit the protrusion on the air cleaner hose assembly into the hole of the hose clamp on the throttle body with motor assembly side.

    2. Insert the 3 air cleaner with air cleaner hose pins into the air cleaner support.
    3. Tighten the hose clamp.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

    4. Attach the wire harness clamp.
    5. Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 
    1. Install the No. 1 air cleaner inlet to the air cleaner with air cleaner hose and insert the pin into the air cleaner support.
  6. CONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 PCV hose to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.
  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [01/2017 - ]

  8. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [01/2017 - ]

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSS MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [06/2019 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [05/2023 - ]

  10. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  12. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 118 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 118 [06/2019 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 118 [05/2023 - ]
