Installation [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2) 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

    1. Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler with the protrusion of the gasket.

    2. Install a new gasket to the No. 2 air tube assembly with the protrusion of the gasket.

    3. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    4. Connect the No. 6 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    5. Install the throttle body with motor assembly and No. 2 air tube assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    6. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
    7. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    8. Attach the 3 wire harness clamps.
    9. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

    1. Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler with the protrusion of the gasket.

    2. Install a new gasket to the No. 1 air tube assembly with the protrusion of the gasket.

    3. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    4. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    5. Install the throttle body with motor assembly and No. 1 air tube assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with intercooler with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    6. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
    7. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    8. Attach the 3 wire harness clamps.
    9. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  3. CONNECT NO. 2 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the No. 2 air tube assembly with the clip and clamp.

      Torque: 6.3 N.m (64 kgf/cm, 56 in.lbf) 

    2. Connect the No. 2 air tube connector.
    3. Connect the No. 5 air hose to the No. 1 turbo pressure sensor and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    4. Connect the wire harness with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  4. CONNECT NO. 1 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the No. 1 air tube assembly with the clip and clamp.

      Torque: 6.3 N.m (64 kgf/cm, 56 in.lbf) 

    2. Connect the No. 1 air tube connector.
    3. Connect the No. 4 air hose to the No. 1 turbo pressure sensor and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    4. Connect the wire harness with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [12/2017 - ]

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [12/2017 - ]

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 127 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 127 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 127 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 127 [10/2023 - ]

  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 128 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 128 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 128 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 128 [10/2023 - ]

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 131 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 131 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 131 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 131 [10/2023 - ]

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 132 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 132 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 132 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 132 [10/2023 - ]

  11. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 189 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 189 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 189 [10/2023 - ]

  12. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [10/2023 - ]

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 192 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [10/2023 - ]

  14. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 192 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 192 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 193 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 192 [10/2023 - ]
