Inspection [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING CONTROL MOTOR WITH EDU ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the camshaft timing control motor with EDU assembly LH and camshaft timing control motor with EDU assembly RH.

    1. Rotate the joint of the camshaft timing control motor with EDU assembly by hand and check that it rotates smoothly.

      Standard Condition

      The motor rotates smoothly.

      NOTE:
      • If the camshaft timing control motor with EDU assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
      • Do not disassemble the camshaft timing control motor with EDU assembly. If disassembled, replace it.
      • Make sure the contact surface of the camshaft timing control motor with EDU assembly (connecting surface with the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly) is free of foreign matter.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the camshaft timing control motor with EDU assembly.
