Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 08/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 03/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2019 - 01/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2023 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2014 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2018 - 03/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2019 - ]
- REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]
- REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
- SEPARATE NO. 1 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK AND NO. 1 JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- SEPARATE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the 8 ignition coil assembly connectors.
- Remove the 8 bolts and 8 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly and cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.NOTE:
If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
HINT:
Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
- Disconnect the 8 ignition coil assembly connectors.
- REMOVE SPARK PLUG
- Remove the 8 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly and cylinder head LH.NOTE:
If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
HINT:
Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
- Remove the 8 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly and cylinder head LH.
