Test Equipment Hook-Up

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect harness from the Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) and connect test equipment. See Fig 1. Set digital volt/ohmmeter (DVOM) switch to "BATTERY TEST" and verify reading is greater than value stated on face plate. If lower, consult tester operators manual.
  2. Set DVOM switch to "TESTER" after removing test leads from DVOM test lead jacks. If engine will not start, proceed to ENGINE WILL NOT START  procedure. If it starts, proceed to ENGINE STARTS  procedure.
