The starter is a permanent magnet, gear-reduction motor with an integral solenoid. Starting system consists of a starter motor, solenoid, battery, ignition switch, Transmission Range (TR) sensor, mini ISO relay, anti-theft relay and interconnecting cables and wires. Anti-theft relay is normally closed and grounded by anti-theft system, which open relay contacts disabling starting circuit.
