Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the front engine appearance cover (6A951) and the throttle return spring (9B569).
  2. Disconnect the accelerator cable (9A758) from the throttle body lever.

  3. Remove the screw (cable to bracket) and remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket (9728).

  4. Remove the accelerator cable from the clip.

  5. Remove the nuts.

  6. NOTE: Non-memory pedal shown, memory pedal similar.

  7. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal and shaft (9725).
  8. Remove the accelerator cable retainer (9E728).

  9. Pull cable through the dash panel and remove from the vehicle.
  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
