Accelerator Pedal and Shaft - Adjustable: Installation

CAUTION: Before driving the vehicle, check that the engine returns to idle after depressing the accelerator.
  1. Install the accelerator pedal and shaft assembly and the two nuts.

  2. Connect the drive motor electrical connector.

  3. Attach the accelerator cable to the accelerator pedal and shaft assembly.

  4. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, see BATTERY, MOUNTING & CABLES .
  5. Index the adjustable brake and accelerator pedals. For additional information, see HYDRAULIC BRAKE ACTUATION .
  6. Install the instrument close-out panel.
    1. Turn the lamp socket clockwise to connect it to the close-out panel.
    2. Insert the push-pins in locations shown.
