Fuel Injection Supply Manifold: Installation

  1. Lubricate the fuel injector O-rings with clean engine oil before installation.
  2. Install the fuel injection supply manifold and the fuel injectors as an assembly.
  3. Install the studs.
  4. Install the crash bracket.
  5. Install the bolt and stud.
  6. Connect the vacuum hose to the EVAP canister purge valve.

  7. Connect the vacuum hoses and the electrical connector.

  8. Connect the crankcase ventilation tube, the vacuum hoses and the electrical connector.

  9. Connect the eight fuel injectors.

  10. Clip the accelerator cable and the speed control actuator cable to the two crash brackets.

  11. Install the cables, the bolts and the return spring.

  12. Install the generator mounting bracket and tighten the bolts.

  13. Connect the electrical connector, generator harness, and harness pin-type retainer.

  14. Install the drive belt. For additional information, refer to DRIVE BELT ROUTING .
  15. Install the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube. For additional information, refer to ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL .
  16. Install the throttle body. For additional information, refer to THROTTLE BODY .
  17. Connect the fuel hoses. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  18. Connect the battery ground cable.
