Removal and Installation

    Both sides 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. CAUTION: The engine appearance cover is equipped with a noise suppressor. If the noise suppressor becomes separated from the engine appearance cover it must be positioned on the intake manifold prior to installing the engine appearance cover.

  4. Remove the engine appearance cover and the noise suppressor (if detached).
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
  6. Remove the upper radiator sight shield.
  7. Install the special tools and support the engine.

  8. RH side 

  9. Remove the RH lower splash shield.
  10. Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission cooling tube support bracket from the engine mount bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  11. Remove the RH engine mount upper nut.
    • To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
  12. Remove the 3 bolts, the stud bolt and the RH engine mount bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 46 Nm (34 lb-ft).
  13. Remove the lower nut and the RH engine mount.
    • To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  14. LH side 

  15. Remove the LH lower splash shield.
  16. Remove the LH engine mount upper nut.
    • To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
  17. Remove the nut and the power steering tube support bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  18. Remove the 3 bolts, stud bolt and LH engine mount bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 46 Nm (34 lb-ft).
  19. Remove the lower nut and the LH engine mount.
    • To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  20. Both sides 

  21. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
