Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Installation

  1. Install the PCM and bracket as an assembly through the glove compartment opening.
  2. Install the 2 PCM bracket bolts.
    • Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  3. Install the 2 PCM nuts.
    • Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  4. Connect the 3 PCM electrical connectors.
    • Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
  5. Install the glove compartment.
  6. Install the fresh air inlet duct. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL .
  7. Restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration restore steps of the Programmable Module Installation procedure. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  8. Reprogram the passive anti-theft system (PATS). Carry out the Parameter Reset procedure. For additional information, refer to ANTI-THEFT - PERIMETER .
