Steering System

STEERING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IDENTIFICATION

DTC Description Action
B1D23 Overheat Sensor DIAGNOSE any other PSCM DTCs before diagnosing DTC B1D23:68. If no other DTCs are present, INSPECT the EPAS gear heat shield. INSTALL new as necessary. ADVISE the customer that high ambient temperatures and/or heavy loads on the EPAS system will cause this DTC to set, resulting in higher than usual steering effort. A heavy load is defined as multiple parking lot maneuvers over a short duration of time with low tire pressure or towing for long distances followed by multiple parking maneuvers.
C1B00 Steering Angle Sensor 2F: GO to PINPOINT TEST E
62: GO to PINPOINT TEST B
64: DIAGNOSE all other PSCM and ABS module DTCs before diagnosing DTC C1B00:64. If no other DTCs are present, CLEAR the DTC and ADVISE the customer certain driving maneuvers may cause this DTC to set resulting in higher than usual torque steer for the remainder of the ignition cycle in which the DTC was set.

U0001 High Speed CAN Communications Bus A HS-CAN fault was present at a point in time. The fault is not currently present since the module communicating with the diagnostic scan tool. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the Network Test with the diagnostic scan tool. VERIFY the integrity of the connectors and wiring. REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
U0100 Lost Communication with ECM/PCM A CARRY OUT a self-test of the PCM. If the scan tool indicates that the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network communication concern. If PCM DTCs are present, REFER to the ENGINE CONTROLS - INTRODUCTION (EXCEPT DIESEL & HYBRID) (SECTION 0) to diagnose the PCM.
U0121 Lost Communication with the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module CARRY OUT an ABS module self-test. If the scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to DIAGNOSE the network communication concern. If ABS module DTCs are present, REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL to DIAGNOSE the ABS system fault.
U0122 Lost Communication with the Vehicle Dynamics Module (VDM) CARRY OUT a VDM self-test. If the scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network communication concern. If VDM DTCs are present, REFER to VEHICLE DYNAMIC SUSPENSION to diagnose the dynamic suspension system fault.
U0126 Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module CARRY OUT a self test on the SCCM. If the scan tool indicates that the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network communication concern. If DTCs are present in the SCCM, REFER to the DTC list in STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES
U0140 Lost Communication With Body Control Module CARRY OUT a self-test of the BCM module. If the scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network communication concern. BCM module DTCs are present, REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES to diagnose the BCM system fault.
U0151 Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module CARRY OUT a self-test of the RCM. If the scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network communication concern. If RCM DTCs are present, REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM to diagnose the SRS fault.
U0159 Lost Communication With Parking Assist Control Module A CLEAR the DTC and CARRY OUT a self-test of the PSCM. If the DTC returns, CARRY OUT self-test of the parking assist control module. If the scan tool indicates that the module is not responding, refer to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network communication concern. If DTCs are present in the parking assist control module, then refer to ACTIVE PARK ASSIST for diagnostic information.
U023A Lost Communication with Image Processing Module A CARRY OUT a IPM-A self-test. If the scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network communication concern. If IPM-A DTCs are present, REFER to REAR VIEW MIRRORS
U0300 Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility GO to Pinpoint Test Z
