Thermal Reactor

Thermal reactor is mounted just outside the exhaust port. It oxidizes unburned exhaust gas expelled from the engine. When engine speed is approximately 4000 RPM, or during deceleration, the air control valve supplies fresh air from the air pump to the thermal reactor to maintain the necessary temperature for oxidation of exhaust gas.
