Disassembly & Reassembly
- Remove distributor cap and rotor. Disconnect primary wires from leading and trailing contact points. Disconnect condenser leads.
- Remove rubber block with primary wires from housing. Remove clips holding vacuum links to breaker plates. Remove vacuum advance/retard units.
- Remove bearing stopper set screws and lift out breaker base plate and bearing assembly. Remove cam attaching screw and lift cam off of shaft.
- Drive lock pin out of driven gear. Remove gear and washers. Remove shaft through top of housing. Remove governor weight springs and weights. Reassemble distributor in reverse order of disassembly.
