Automatic Transmission

Raise and support vehicle. Apply parking brake and block wheels. Start engine and operate at idle. Disconnect electrical connector from switch (located on output shaft housing). Connect ohmmeter to switch terminals. Continuity should exist when transmission is in Neutral and no continuity in any other gear position. If switch does not operate as outlined, replace neutral switch.
