EGR Valve Position Sensor

  1. The EGR position sensor monitors EGR valve position for the control unit. It is mounted on the EGR valve.
  2. Unplug the sensor electrical connector. Using an ohmmeter, check the continuity of the sensor. Insert probes of ohmmeter in terminals with Blue/Orange and Light Green/Yellow wires.
  3. If the ohmmeter reads some resistance, the position sensor is not defective.
