Engine Compression

  1. Run engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Remove the injection nozzles and holders from cylinders. Attach adapter fitting (49 1456 010) to nozzle opening on 1 cylinder. Connect a compression gauge capable of reading more than 427 psi (30 kg/cm2 ) to adapter.
  2. Disconnect wire from fuel cut solenoid. Crank engine until maximum compression pressure is reached and note reading. Repeat procedure for remaining cylinders. Reinstall injection nozzles and fuel cut solenoid wire after completing compression test.

Min. Compression Pressure 384 psi (27 kg/cm2 )
Max. Variation 42.7 psi (3 kg/cm2 )
