Air Control Valve Solenoid Valve

  1. The air control valve (ACV) solenoid valve is located on the firewall behind the carburetor. The solenoid valve controls the vacuum signal to the ACV. The solenoid valve is energized by the control unit at idle.
  2. The valve is open to vacuum flow when not energized. Unplug connector and apply 12V to terminal with the Yellow/Black wire. Ground the terminal with the Light Green wire.
  3. Blow air through the solenoid valve and check that the air is expelled out of the valve air filter.
