EGR Solenoid Valve

  1. The EGR solenoid valve is located on the firewall behind the carburetor. Remove the rubber plug from the valve. Disconnect carburetor-to-solenoid valve hose (White stripe) and blow through the hose.
  2. Air should be expelled out of the port which was plugged. Unplug the electrical connector and apply battery power to the Yellow/Black terminal. Ground the Yellow/Green terminal.
  3. Disconnect the EGR solenoid-to-EGR modulator valve hose (Green stripe). Blow air through the White striped hose. Air should be expelled out of the EGR solenoid-to-EGR modulator valve port.
