Air Control Valves

The air control valves are part of the air injection system. They help govern the flow of secondary air to the reed valves in the air cleaner.

An air control valve is used on Federal models only. It controls the flow of secondary air to the exhaust manifold, upstream of the front catalytic converter. It is controlled by the ACV solenoid which in turn is governed by the control unit.
