Throttle Positioner Servo Diaphragm

  1. Connect tachometer to engine. Bring engine to normal operating temperature. Stop engine. Detach 3-way solenoid-to-servo diaphragm vacuum hose from servo diaphragm.
  2. Connect intake manifold vacuum hose or hand operated vacuum pump, directly to servo diaphragm. Start engine, run at 2000 RPM, then release throttle.
  3. For GLC models, engine speed should be within 1100-1300 RPM. If engine speed is not within specifications, turn adjusting screw to obtain specified RPM. Replace servo diaphragm if correct RPM can not be obtained.
NOTE: Grounding Black/White terminal by mistake will blow ignition system fuse.
