TPS Servo Diaphragm

  1. Connect tachometer to engine. Bring engine to normal operating temperature. Stop engine. Detach hose between 3-way solenoid and servo diaphragm, at servo diaphragm.
  2. Connect intake manifold vacuum hose or hand operated vacuum pump, directly to servo diaphragm. Start engine, run at 2000 RPM, then release throttle.
  3. On GLC models, engine speed should be within 1100-1300 RPM. If engine speed is not within specifications, turn adjusting screw to obtain specified engine RPM. Servo diaphragm must be replaced if correct engine RPM can not be obtained.
