Duty Solenoid Valve
- Remove air cleaner. Disconnect duty solenoid vacuum hose from EGR control valve. Blow through solenoid vent vacuum hose (hose to air cleaner) and verify that air exhausts through hose disconnected from EGR valve.
- Unplug solenoid valve electrical connector. Apply battery voltage to Brown/Red wire terminal of connector, and connect Black/White terminal to ground. See Fig 1 .
- Blow air through vent vacuum hose. Verify that solenoid valve is now closed. Disconnect vacuum hose between duty solenoid and intake manifold, at manifold. Blow air through intake manifold vacuum hose. Verify that air does not pass through valve.
- Apply battery voltage to Brown/White wire terminal of connector and hook jumper wire from other Black/White terminal to ground. See Fig 1 . Blow air through manifold vacuum hose: Air should exhaust out vent tube.
