TPS Solenoid Valve (3-Way Solenoid Valve)
- Disconnect vacuum hose between 3-way solenoid and servo diaphragm, at servo diaphragm. Disconnect vacuum hose from 3-way solenoid, to intake manifold at solenoid.
- Blow air through servo diaphragm hose. Air should exhaust from intake manifold port of solenoid.
- Disconnect electrical connector from solenoid valve. Apply battery voltage to 1 terminal of solenoid and ground other using jumper wire.
- Blow air through servo diaphragm hose. Air should exhaust from air filter. Replace solenoid valve if it does not respond correctly. See Fig 1 .
