The Clutch is a single, dry disc, diaphragm spring type. The release mechanism on the GLC and 626 gasoline models is cable actuated. On the 626 diesel, the clutch release mechanism is hydraulically actuated. A prelubricated release bearing is used and is located in the transmission housing.
