Power Steering (P/S) Solenoid Valve

Ensure all accessories are off and connect a tachometer. Bring engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle. Disconnect P/S switch connector located on the P/S pump. Ground the connector with a jumper wire. Engine speed should be at 1000-1100 RPM (M/T) and 1150-1250 RPM (A/T). If engine speed is not within specifications, adjust by turning P/S solenoid adjusting screw. See Figure .
