Code 2 (Airflow Meter)

  1. Check for poor connections in airflow meter connector. Repair or replace as necessary. If connections are okay, check airflow meter resistance. See AIRFLOW METER  .
  2. If resistance is incorrect, replace airflow meter. If resistance is correct, check for battery voltage at terminal "Vb" of airflow meter connector.
  3. If voltage is not present, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness. If voltage is present, measure voltage at terminal "2B" of ECU. If reading is zero volts, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness from "Vc" terminal of airflow meter to terminal "2B" of ECU connector.
  4. If reading is about 12 volts, check for open circuit in wiring harness from "E2" terminal of airflow meter to ECU connector. If reading is 6-10 volts, go to next step.
  5. Measure voltage at terminal "2E" of ECU. If voltage is within .7-2.7 volts, replace faulty ECU. If voltage is outside range, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness from "Vs" terminal of airflow meter to ECU connector.
